Players need to be aged appropriately for that age group i.e. as at 1 January (at the commencement of the season) if the child is aged 7 years, then you are able to play in the U6s & U8s competition – (this means your child is turning 6 or 8 sometime during that season). Proof of age is required i.e. passport or birth certificate.
The competition takes place on a Saturday mornings in a hub style competition and requires travel between Leongatha, Korumburra, Mirboo North and Trafalgar. Game times are normally an 8.45am kick off. Please be at each competition venue no later than 15 minutes before allocated start time.
Games: Are two 20 minute halves with a 5 minute break in between the halves. There are normally 8 players allocated per team with 6 players (including a goal keeper on the field at any one time). 2 players are rotated through by the Coach onto the field. Leongatha Knights Football Club implements FAIR GAME TIME for ALL PLAYERS regardless of the player’s ability.
The club supplies our own trained referees to save you as a parent having to referee the game. There are no extra game fees to be paid each week once registration has been paid. For further information, please contact the Clubs Registrar.
